Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Anoniversity, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including students who browse, post, comment, react, match, and chat on the platform.

2. Eligibility and Verification

• • You must be a currently enrolled student at Ateneo, UP, DLSU, or UST, or have a valid institutional email from those universities.
• • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• • You may only create one account per verified school email address.
• • You must not impersonate another person, student, or institution.
• • You must not attempt to bypass the email verification system.

3. Anonymity and Identity

Anoniversity is built on the principle of publicly anonymous, privately verified identity.

• • Your school email is used only for verification and login. It is never shown publicly to other users under any circumstances.
• • The platform privately retains your verified school information so that abuse can be investigated and actioned.
• • Your anonymous display name, school tag (if shown), and post/comment history are visible to other verified users.
• • Do not attempt to reveal your own or another user's real identity on the platform.

4. Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension or ban:

• • Harassment, bullying, or targeted attacks on any individual or group
• • Posting sexual, explicit, or adult content
• • Hate speech based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or disability
• • Doxxing or sharing private information about real people
• • Threats of violence or self-harm
• • Spam, scamming, or phishing
• • Impersonating other students, faculty, or institutions
• • Attempting to identify or expose another user's real identity
• • Using bots or automated tools to interact with the platform
• • Circumventing bans by creating new accounts

5. Content Ownership and Responsibility

• • You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant Anoniversity a non-exclusive license to display your content on the platform.
• • You are solely responsible for the content you post, comment, and send in chats.
• • Anoniversity may remove or hide content that violates these terms without notice.
• • Content that has been reported and reviewed may be retained for moderation purposes.

6. Moderation and Bans

• • Anoniversity uses a combination of automated keyword filters and human moderators to review reported content.
• • Violations may result in content removal, trust score reductions, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
• • Banned users may submit one ban appeal. Appeals are reviewed by administrators and are not guaranteed to succeed.
• • Creating a new account to circumvent a ban is a violation of these Terms and may result in the new account being banned as well.

7. Campus Match and Chat

• • Campus Match is an opt-in feature that connects verified students based on school and shared interests. It is not a random stranger-chat service.
• • Chat messages are not end-to-end encrypted and may be reviewed by moderators if reported.
• • A notice of this review policy is displayed at the start of every chat session.
• • Users may report or block their matched student at any time during or after a session.
• • Blocking a user prevents future matches with that user.
• • Voice chat (if enabled) is not recorded by Anoniversity.

8. Account Termination

You may request account deletion at any time through your profile settings. Anoniversity may also terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon deletion, your personal account data and profile are removed within 30 days. Posts and comments may remain in anonymized form where the link to your identity has been severed. Moderation and safety records related to confirmed violations may be retained for up to 12 months after resolution for platform integrity and legal compliance purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

Anoniversity is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for user-generated content, the actions of other users, or any harm resulting from use of the platform. Use Anoniversity responsibly.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through in-app notifications.
